About Three Little Birds
Here at Three Little Birds, I believe that the best way children learn is through positive encouragement, comfort and self-directed work and play. Curriculum is child led and includes reading, writing, imaginative play, outdoor play in large grassy nature area that encourages gross motor, yoga, arts and crafts, music, science, sensory activities and more!
The first 5 years are the most important years of a child's life. I work with parents to help their children make the most of it. Being trusted with your children means a lot to me. Children will be observed as they grow towards kindergarten to prepare them for the school environment.
I just completed a Montessori training and fully believe in the method of education. It is based around self-directed jobs that are meant to unfold the child's potential and is based around the child learning self-sufficiency without punishments or rewards. "Discipline" is based around creating an environment that is calming and enriching versus chaotic. In this way children learn to respect themselves and therefore the others around them and their environment.
